Matter Most

I was literally just thinking about my next blog post. I was thinking that I could talk all about how overwhelming all this mission shopping is. I must have tried on 100 white button down shirts, tried on 50 different pairs of dress pants, tried on countless numbers of dress shoes, etc.

And then...I signed on to lds.org and watched the most recent video from Mormon Messages.
This one is yet another good one! Watch below.

And then I thought, the mission shopping might not be my favorite thing, but I get to do the shopping with my best friend...My Mom. And, that's what makes it special to me. That is one of the things that matters most. :)

Dayton's Legs

My Mom sent me this video in an e-mail and I just have to share it. It is so inspirational. I think we can all try to be more like this 13 year old, Spencer. I also like how as a leader, Spencer cared about EVERY member in his Deacon's Quorum...Even Dayton, who is non-verbal and has cerebral palsy. He cared about him as much as his other quorum members. It is so important to remember individuals with disabilities and their need for friendship.

Idaho Adventures

This past weekend I went up to Idaho. This is how my cousin Isaac and I entertained ourselves on a 30 minute trip up to Idaho Falls. It's pretty epic.

I love my family and that we can just do fun and stupid stuff like this all the time.

Seattle Trip

Sorry this took me FOREVER to get posted. I have been EXTREMELY busy this past week with work, parent meetings, lesson plans, furniture shopping (pics to come soon), and trying to have somewhat of a social life.

But, alas, here is my Seattle trip.

Friday, February 18th:

-Fly to Seattle.

-Dinner in Downtown Seattle at Brazilian Steakhouse

-Found a GUM WALL!! See vlog below!

Saturday, February 19th:
-Drove around Bellevue to do some sight seeing and found a beautiful view of Seattle.

-Walked around Seattle in the beautiful, sunny (but kind of windy) weather.  And taste tested everything at Pike Place Market.

(visited the gum wall...again)

(we didn't get coffee...duh)

-Went to Space Needle area to see museum and laser show.

(I didn't get soaked this time!)

 -Found a troll under a bridge.

-Explored the Bellevue Mall

Sunday, February 20th:
-Went to church.  Met some cool people.
-Hiking in a forest in Bellevue.  We found some pretty awesome waterfalls.  Washington is a beautiful state.

-Played Wacky Six and Pit.

Monday, February 21st
-Panera for lunch
-Fly home

And...That's my trip to Seattle, Washington with Isaac, Calie, and Katie to visit Matt, Carrie, Danny, and Kalie.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and vlog.  I love my family.  It's so great to be so close with my extended family.  My cousins are my best friends.

Christmas Festivities

Yesterday, I went up to Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see the Christmas lights with Warren, Jane, Jade, Matt, and Megan.  First, we at at The Pie (Yummy pizza) near the University of Utah.  Then, we headed to another restaurant for dessert down by The Gateway mall.  We got legit Belgian Waffles (Cinnamon with raspberries).  So good.

Finally, we made our way over to see the Temple Square lights.  It was PACKED!  We had quite the amazing adventure.  Something about hanging up on Warren because we were secretly talking about him and I thought he would hear, but Jane had already put him on mute.  Something about Matt throwing ice into our car.  Something about Sean accidentally (honestly, accidentally) dropping his drink out of the window on I-15.  Something about Sean's friends hiding his coat in a microwave at the Joseph Smith Building.  Something about singing the Twelve Days of Christmas back to the car.  Something about an incredible night with incredible friends.
